traffic is heavy on the schuylkill expressway westbound, we have the arrow board up. there's the jam on the schuylkill expressway westbound jammed from gladwyn to approaching the blue route with speeds like 7 miles per hour on the schuylkill expressway, because of the big accident near conshohocken. we had an earlier problem the nt on the vine eastbound cleared. a disabled vehicle near the vine cleared. we have wing bowl people coming in already. in south philadelphia you'll see more congestion than you would normally see. the vine street expressway, just wet. no problems with ice, but anticipate a slick patch or two take it easy on the roads. we have a disabled vehicle on the boulevard southbound approaching rhawn street. matt and tam. >> this is where it will go down on sunday, the u.s. bank stadium in downtown, minneapolis, is the home of super bowl 52.

philadelphia. or below freezing and close to freezing in trenton and i allentown and reading in the northern suburbs. we have rain earlier and snow in some cases right now. where temperatures are dropping, you could have a freeze up up there. philadelphia will be getting around the freezing mark around 7:00 a.m. and same thing with millville. rain and snow is edge fast. even in south jersey you might have snowflakes mixing in, but basically getting out of here before you have big impact from that. temperatures are dropping and roads are wet there could be icing, be careful of that. we're in the 30s across the region him we'll wind up in philadelphia in the upper 20s through the afternoon. sun coming back. dinnertime back in the mid 20s. winds today are going to be a factor him we'll take the cold air and whip it errand and we'll

have windchills in the teens. bundle up. and be careful of the partially icy situation. >> reporter: we have a big accident on the schuylkill expressway, it's big news, the accident happened an hour 1/2 ago. it's causing problems. look at the travel time, 81 minute ride to get from the vine to the are blue route. the accident was blocking the right lane at the blue route for quite a while. crews are leaving the scene now, nonetheless you're dealing with the traffic. 81 minute ride from the schuylkill expressway westbound between the vine and the blue route. you're seeing speeds 4 miles per hour. you're jammed from this point to approaching city avenue to the blue route. that accident has just cleared. we saw the crews that have left the scene they were blocking the right lane. you're dealing with a huge delay. i-95 southbound 19 minute travel time coming down near bridge street, so, slow there, as well. we had earlier accidents that cleared. let's show you what the roads look like out here.

valley, many viewers have been sending in pictures of the snow coming down there. give yourself extra time, if you need to grab the coffee head out a little earlier. it's friday, things are okay, we've got chicken wings and flurries one or two that i have counted and super bowl on sunday, lucky us, all we need is the ring. >> people like to say ain't no thing like a chicken wing. >> reporter: and ain't no thing like a super bowl ring on sunday. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows us most of the precipitation is exiting the coast. as we go into the two dimensional view in reading and pottstown there's a snow shower popping through, very little accumulation out that. there's an accumulation that colder air is riding toward philadelphia now. we're looking at the possibility of a freeze up on roads that didn't manage to dry out from earlier rain and mixed

precipitation now that temperatures are dropping below freezing. in philadelphia, over the next 20 to 35 minutes, 45 minutes we'll be down to the freezing mark in philadelphia, too. we're there in trenton. in areas near i-95 look out for icy patches developing probably win the next hour. it's possible. we're seeing the winds kick around looking at streets in philadelphia and center city looks like they might be damp down there, but that wind is going dob a -- to be a factor in the eventual drying out with the roads. 34 in philadelphia. 32 in trenton. 29 in allentown. 30 in reading. 35 in wilmington and millville. as you look at the precipitation over the next half-hour it's mainly getting off coast, the thing to pay attention to those numbers even in the city getting close to freezing by 7:00 a.m. or so in the city. be careful of icy patches. we'll see the return of sunshine. we're seeing clouds break up

west of philadelphia. in the lehigh valley, sun returning today. it will be windy and cold, we have precipitation winding down. throughout the day it's cold, windchills in the teens across the region that would include up north. at the shore 37 degrees. windchills in the low 20s there. in philadelphia an afternoon high of 29. now, our official high in all these areas will be much higher because of the numbers we have in the rear view mirror since midnight. expect it to be in the upper 20s for the most part. windchills in the teens. overnight tonight, 17, clear skies, brisk anne cold. tomorrow, 33 degrees, winds not so bad, but we'll get windchills in the 20s. say goodbye to high pressure and hello an approaching front and more precipitation and milder air for the super bowl forecast. we're getting up to 40 in the afternoon. high of 444 is the in the evening.

karen rogers, it's been kind of a rough morning out there. >> reporter: it's been a rough morning, i love when people tweet me and share their thoughts and what their view is right now. mike tweeted me out of the far northern suburbs and lehigh valley and north. i have a tweet from someone in pottstown where the flurries are landings they are dealing with that, as well. let's look at the roads, stump road at county line road montgomery township, the intersection is mostly just wet. in some areas we're starting to get flurries, there could slick spots here and there as you're traveling. watch out for the bridges and overpasses. live on the ben franklin bridge not seeing anyone slip or slide at this point. take it easy and expect a slick spot or two as you travel around. the big issue of the day is on the schuylkill expressway. we had an accident westbound near conshohocken. although it cleared it stakes you over an hour to travel from the vine to the blue route.

a mess on the schuylkill expressway. on the waze app i found someone talking about an accident on the boulevard inter drive southbound near wyoming. we've seen a few accidents come up. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing the flurries northwest 422 near honeybrook and 322. pottstown i mentioned someone tweeted me a picture some of the flurries. looking closer to the city flurries near media and chadds ford and woods bury and gibbs town and 70 near medford lakes. if you look along the coastline that's where we're seeing the icy changeover. be careful as you travel. you see the area of blue from surf city to mays landing. it could be slick as the rain exits the coast. justin timberlake talked about what he has in store for super bowl but said he will do a few things not seen before.
